Goodman reveals new fight plan | 02:24
Australian boxer Sam Goodman has announced he will fight Mexico’s Cesar Espinoza at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, May 14.
The 26-year-old, who boasts a 19-0 record in professional boats, has not entered the ring since his victory against Chainoi Worawut in Wollongong in July last year.
He was scheduled to face champion boxer Naoya Inoue in December, but the fight was postponed and ultimately cancelled after the Australian suffered a cut over his left eye during training.

“I’m stoked to be back, doing what I love to do, getting back in the ring,” Goodman said on Main Event on Sunday.
“I’ve got to get back in there and test myself against the elite.
“I’ve got to put myself back out there to win world titles.
“Easy fights is not what I’m about.”
When asked about Espinoza (19-1-1), Goodman responded: “He’s tough. He’s been around the blocks.
“They don’t breed them soft down in Mexico, so I now I’m in for a tough fight.”
