Port Adelaide are set to unveil their Ken Hinkley succession plan on Wednesday, as the veteran coach prepares for what will now be his final AFL season at Alberton.

The club on Wednesday morning confirmed initial reports from The Advertiser’s Matt Turner last week that Josh Carr will be the next coach to step into the hot seat at Port Adelaide.

AFL Media’s Callum Twomey reports that Carr will sign a three-year deal that will tie him to the Power until the end of 2028, with his commencement as head coach certain to begin next year — regardless of how Hinkley’s season finishes in 2025.
