Amid rumours Hill wanted to return home to Western Australia, the Herald Sun had reported the forward was in “no rush” to sign a new deal after being on “bargain pay”.

Speaking to foxfooty.com.au, Hill set the record straight on Saturday night after playing a starring role for the Indigenous All Stars in Perth.

“I’m loving my time at Collingwood,” he said.

“I just want to play footy, (have) more success in grand finals.

“I’m not focused on anything else; just playing my footy at Collingwood.

“I’ve got two more years – it doesn’t mean anything with obviously the contract on hold.

“I’m enjoying my time. I’m loving it.”

Hill clearly loved being part of the Indigenous All Stars as he kicked a game-high four goals from his 12 touches to spark the crowd at Optus Stadium.

The former Giant couldn’t hold back his pride as he revealed just what playing in the exhibition game meant to him.

“I love kicking goals – I wouldn’t have done it without my teammates,” he said.

“The talent we’ve got in this room, in this team. Even the boys that didn’t play… (I) hope we can keep doing this every year or two.

“We only had one training session!

“It just shows you only need one – the bond we’ve got.

“Everyone’s done their part.”

The 25-year-old Norm Smith Medallist will now get a rest as teammates head to Queensland for their own pre-season clashes.

Hill said he’ll travel with the side but won’t take part in the matches.

“The boys are going to hit the ground running,” he said.

“Fly up there Tuesday – it’ll be good to join them.

“I get a rest, pretty lucky with flying. I’ll get a rest, do some running up there as well.

“It’ll be good to watch. (And then) can’t wait to get back home and enjoy myself back in Melbourne.”

Hill is one of many premiership signatures the Pies are chasing with the likes of Brayden Maynard, Brody Mihocek, Jamie Elliott, Billy Frampton and Jeremy Howe all out of contract at the end of this season.

Also without a deal for 2026 are veterans Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom, along with Tom Mitchell and Mason Cox.
