Series sweep! Aussies dominate Sri Lanka | 03:21
Australia’s cricket stars are known for keeping receipts and Travis Head has proven so once again with a little dig at former Test opener Ed Cowan on social media.

As the Australians basked in the glory of pulling off a first series whitewash in Sri Lanka since 2004, Head posted a photo of the celebrations in the dressing room on his Instagram story with the caption “Another golf trip @EddieCowan”.
Cowan made remarks on the The Grandstand Cricket Podcast prior to the series that Australia’s training camp in Dubai before heading to Sri Lanka was simply a “golf trip” for the squad, who are renowned for their love of hitting the fairways.
Majority of the touring party posted videos and photos on social media of them playing spectacular golf courses – which host DP World Tour, formerly named the European Tour, events – in their downtime after honing their crafts on specially prepared spinning pitches.
Cowan has a history of mocking the fact the Australians always pack their clubs for tours, having done so on the same podcast about last September’s white-ball tour of Scotland.
But the Test team’s performances in Sri Lanka proved that the preparation at the ICC academy was fruitful.
Australia’s batters shone against the turning ball with Steve Smith winning player of the series for his centuries in either Test, Usman Khawaja topping the run tally courtesy of his double ton in the series opener, Alex Carey scoring a century and Josh Inglis smashing a debut hundred.
The Australian bowlers also executed perfectly with Matt Kuhnemann the breakout star as he took the most wickets in the series with his left-arm spin.
