Brock Lesnar’s Daughter: A Remarkable Athletic Talent in Her Own Right

Mya Lesnar, the daughter of WWE and UFC legend Brock Lesnar, is off to a strong start in her own athletic career.

Mya is in her junior season on the track and field team at American university Colorado State and made a remarkable impact at the recent Mines Alumni Classic, excelling in both the weight throw and indoor shot put events, the New York Post reports.

In the weight throw — an indoor equivalent of the hammer throw — she secured first place with an impressive mark of 21.11m.

However, it was in the indoor shot put where she truly shone, breaking the school record with a remarkable throw of 18.5m, smashing the previous record of 17.55m. For context, the Australian women’s outdoor record is 19.74m.

Mya’s exceptional performance elevated her to the No. 1 position in Colorado State’s top 20 for indoor shot put, according to the Rams’ website, and she is now leading the nation in women’s indoor shot put.

Mya was named the Women’s Field Athlete of the Week following her first-place finish.

“A new PR and a new school record!!” she wrote in a post on Instagram, which featured a video of her record-breaking performance. “Happy with a strong start to my season.”

Mya transferred to Colorado State after spending her freshman and sophomore year at Arizona State University, where she competed in shot put as a member of the Sun Devils’ track and field team.

Mya was 17th in the country in shot put at the end of last season. “This is only the tip of the iceberg,” she said at the time.

Mya, who was a criminal justice major at ASU, previously said her dad has been the biggest influence on her career.

She also expressed her desire to join the military, calling it her “dream job”.

Mya, a native of Alexandria, Minnesota, was the Minnesota Shot Put Champion in 2019.
