Dana White says “as of now” the much-anticipated UFC 311 card will go ahead in Los Angeles despite the city being engulfed by wildfires.

The UFC 311 card is headlined by Islam Makhachev who will attempt to defend his lightweight belt against Arman Tsarukyan, while Merab Dvalishvili’s bantamweight title is also on the line.
The Los Angeles Rams relocated their NFC playoff clash against the Minnesota Vikings, with their home ground SoFi Stadium just across from the Intuit Dome which is scheduled to host the first numbered UFC card of 2025.
Speaking on Sunday, White provided an update on whether the card will still go ahead in Los Angeles.
“Well, if the fire gets bad, we are coming to Vegas… Yeah, we’ll move it to Vegas. If it gets too bad,” White said.
“But as of now? It’s all go. The NBA is gonna go this week. We are gonna go.”
As of Monday morning, 16 people had lost their lives due to the wildfires.
Several areas of the city have been evacuated, with a fire currently alight only around 30 kilometres from the Intuit Dome.
In a statement provided to MMA reporter Chisanga Malata, the California State Athletic Commission said “no decision” had been made.
Meanwhile, light heavyweight gun Johnny Walker withdrew from his bout against Bogdan Guskov after suffering what he described as a “bad injury”.
“I’m devastated, a lot of hard work I put in… I really want to come back and put on a show for you, but not this time,” Walker said in a video on Instagram.
The UFC has replaced him with Billy Elekana, who has a 7-1 record fighting out of Las Vegas, making his UFC debut.
