The 2025 NRL season once again kicks off with a Las Vegas rugby league extravaganza — but this year is set to be bigger and better than the inaugural event.

Four NRL teams will do battle on Sunday March 2 (AEDT), while the Super League and the Jillaroos are also joining the party, with four games set to be played.

Read on for our Vegas Ultimate Guide!

WHO ARE THE TEAMS?

From the NRL, the Penrith Panthers, Cronulla Sharks, Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors make up the second quartet of teams travelling stateside.

However, the first game of the weekend will see the Wigan Warriors take on the Warrington Wolves, with Wigan winning the 2024 Super League title, beating Hull KR in the final.

Next, Ricky Stuart’s Raiders face the Warriors, with big-name recruit James Fisher-Harris making his club debut in Vegas under Andrew Webster.

Then the Jillaroos, Australia’s women’s team, will take on England in a historic one-off Test match, showcasing the talent of our female athletes.

To cap off the rugby league festival, the Panthers, who have won four-straight premierships, will do battle with the Sharks.

Craig Fitzgibbon’s men welcome arguably the game’s premier prop in Addin Fonua-Blake to their side, while Penrith will have to make do without Jarome Luai and Sunia Turuva.

ROUND 1 TEAM TIPS:

WHERE ARE THE GAMES BEING PLAYED?

Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium are hosting the four-game spectacle.

Built in 2020 and nicknamed ‘The Death Star’, Allegiant Stadium is an impressive $2.15 million (USD) piece of infrastructure that houses the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.

Weather forecast won’t matter much, with Allegiant Stadium a domed stadium.

The capacity of Allegiant Stadium is 65,000, with NRL officials hopeful of attracting 50,000 local and international fans to the games.

What is the CDP ?

The CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATIC PARTY (CDP) is Australia’s only registered national Christian political party. Although it is registered as a political party, it operates on non-party political lines. The CDP was founded by a group of caring Australian ministers with high ethical values based on the Christian values and ethics. The aim of its members is to promote the common good by endorsing responsible, long-term goals, and not short-term gain.
