St Kilda have finalised their playing list for 2025 after adding SANFL ruckman Harry Boyd to their squad as part of the pre-season Supplemental Selection Period.

The mature-aged ruckman arrives at Moorabbin via Norwood in the SANFL, having plied his trade across several state-league competitions in his hunt for a place on an AFL list.
Boyd was awarded the SANFL’s prestigious Magarey Medal last year, after leading the Redlegs to another Grand Final appearance.
The ruckman also received the Sharman Medal (voted by SANFL coaches) and finished second in Norwood’s Best & Fairest Count in a year that saw him average 42 hit-outs, 20 disposals and 10 clearances a game.
Boyd has been training at the club over summer and replaces retiring veteran Brad Crouch, who called quits on his AFL career due to a degenerative knee issue.
“We’re very pleased to officially welcome Harry to St Kilda,” St Kilda EGM Football David Misson said.
“Harry comes to us equipped with an abundance of ruck talent, and most importantly a drive to succeed having plied his trade across the VFL and SANFL in his pursuit of an AFL dream.
“Alongside developing rucks Max Heath and Alex Dodson, we’re hopeful that Harry will be able to learn from one of the best rucks going around in Rowan Marshall as he looks to make the most of his opportunity at the highest level.”
Boyd will press his case to partner Marshall in round one as he now strives towards an AFL debut.
