“I am very pleased that the Premier has reversed the forced amalgamations policy. Local Government can now get on with their job without this harassment any longer.” said Hon. Rev. Fred Nile MLC, who has actively organised protests against forced amalgamations.
“We welcome the Government’s decision today to draw a line in the sand on council amalgamations. Now we can get on with governing NSW, for instance lowering electricity prices.” said Hon. Paul Green MLC.
