Following the result of the NSW State Election, on behalf of the Christian Democratic Party, I sincerely congratulate Premier Mike Baird on his re-election to the Seat of Manly and for retaining NSW Government. I applaud his strong, effective and sincere leadership and for securing a strong mandate from a majority of the people of NSW” said Rev Fred Nile MLC.
“In addition, I would like to personally acknowledge and thank each CDP member and supporter for their loyalty and inspiring roles in this NSW Election.
“I particularly thank all of our 93 Legislative Assembly Candidates, for their commendable dedication, hard work and commitment for the duration of the CDP’s campaign.
“As the results are close to being finalised it is with sincere pleasure I announce that the following Candidates have set a precedent for the CDP results. These outstanding primary vote results including: George El Dahr in Lakemba – 13.6% ; Lara Sleiman in Granville – 11.9%; Tony Issa in Canterbury – 9.9 %. Other excellent results included Matt Attia in Liverpool – 7.9%; Edward Royal in Fairfield – 7.0%; Meena Hanna in Blacktown – 6.2%, all of which have greatly inspired our Party.
“I would also like to congratulate the Legislative Council Candidates for their loyalty and support, all the electorate coordinators, polling booth workers, our State Manager, our Campaign Manager and our Head Office staff who have been outstandingly committed and faithful to the CDP.
“It is crucial that all Christians in Australia reflect on the future of our country. The increasing pressures of social, financial, technological, political and worldwide changes are evolving rapidly and there is a growing concern that the essence of the Judeo-Christian faith in our nation may be taken for granted, a very dangerous presumption. The security and privileges of the protections of our democratic Judeo-Christian faith must be a priority for all Christians, uniting with the aim to strengthen our foundations for generations to come” said Rev Fred Nile, leader of the Christian Democratic Party.
