The Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast (JPB) was initiated by member of the Knesset
Robert Ilatov, Chairman of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus. The president of Israel Reuven Rivlin hosted the founders of the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast on June 6, 2017.
The Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast was launched on International Jerusalem Day, June 7, 2017 in the Jewish Year 5777.
“CDP supports Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel” – Christian Democratic Party Policy
“United Jerusalem has been and will forever be the capital of the Jewish People” – Reuven Rivlin, President of Israel
“One-state-one-people solution “… “Jerusalem is Israel’s capital of the State of Israel, the capital of the Jewish people, forever and ever” – Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu
This year Israel is celebrating its 50 years since the Six-Day War to defend Israel against the invasion from Syria, Egypt and Jordan. When they defeated these powers they won back Jerusalem, the Western wall, the Golan Heights and other places.
The Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast took place during these commemoration ceremonies throughout Israel was the first breakfast ever to be held at the Knesset with Fifty-five nations and approximately 500 representatives from government leaders, pastors, priests and ministers and many other Christian church leaders. We prayed for the unity between Jews, Christians and Muslims in order that the peace of Jerusalem would eventuate so that the Kingdom of God would be established according to the Lord’s Divine will and purposes for mankind.
Orthodox Jews, Messianic Jews, converted Muslims and Christians prayed in one accord with much love expressed and much love exchanged between one another.
Congresswoman Michele Bachman gave great honour to Israel during her speech along with many other dignitaries who delivered prayers to bless Israel on behalf of their countries. A very memorable highlight of being involved in the Prayer Breakfast was that the government leaders were invited to President Reuven Rivlin to his residence where we were given a special welcome and address.
Rev. Hon. Fred Nile and I, along with Robyn Peebles and other Australians, were so honoured to take part in this great historical event.
During this time Rev. Nile and I, along with harpists, trumpet and shofar blowers from the Jerusalem House of Prayer gathered on the land where the American embassy will be built in Jerusalem and prayed and declared that this site would come to fruition quickly with neighbouring Australian, New Zealand and United Kingdom embassies, and with many other countries who are in support of Israel to have embassies also.
“Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you’ Isaiah 60:1
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they that love thee shall prosper. Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within thy places.” Psalm 122
On the whole, the blessings from our invitation to the Knesset; including our participation has blessed Rev. Nile and me tremendously and in turn this blessing of peace has also been extended to our families and friends, the Christian Democratic Party and our beautiful Nation Australia.
