The Federal Campaign Committee of the Christian Democratic Party (CDP) has endorsed South Australian Matt Attia to be the Lead Senate Candidate in the upcoming federal election.
Matt Attia and his family fled persecution in Egypt to find a new Christian based life in Australia. Matt is an active member of his Church and local community and is involved in several not-for-profit community programs which assist persecuted Christian families to settle into Australia.
Matt is currently a Director of a Human Rights advocacy group that calls for the end to persecution of Christian minorities in the Middle East and North Africa.
Matt is a self-employed tax accountant with clients across Australia. He has a strong passion for human rights and stands for Christian family values, free markets, religious freedom, and upholding Australia’s Judeo-Christian heritage.
Matt’s South Australian policy priority is to support small businesses by lowering taxes and red tape to encourage further employment.
Acknowledging that our Australian way of life and traditions are under attack, Matt is campaigning on upholding traditional marriage and ensuring that corruption in the unions and the abuse of power by banks is halted.
If elected to represent SA in the Senate, Matt will work to ensure that the voice of mainstream, conservative Australians in South Australia is heard, particularly through freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
For 35 years the CDP has stood for Aussie values and traditions, job and national security, industry protection, infrastructure enhancement, better healthcare, workplace equality and One Law for all Australians.
CDP National President Rev. Hon. Fred Nile MLC will be launching CDP’s campaign in South Australia from 7-9th of May 2016.
